The Top 8 Benefits of Coaching

While there are certainly more than 8 benefits of having a Life Coach, I've narrowed it down to what I believe to be the most significant.

#1 -- To gain clarity of purpose:  Sometimes our purpose is difficult to define. We know what we don’t want and we think we know what we want.  Identifying what gives our life value, meaning, passion and purpose makes all the difference in our attempts to achieve our dreams. 


#2 -- Being held accountable for our actions:  Some of us tend to procrastinate. When a life coach is ensuring that we are taking consistent action, we are more likely to fulfill the goals we set for ourselves. This also encourages the realization of our own potential.

#3 -- Provides insightful perspectives:  The perspective of an objective third-party allows us to reflect and further access our situation and circumstances. An effective coach can provide opportunities for us to take notice of what we may not have noticed before and recognize that we have some control over our lives based on our attitude and the choices we make. 

#4 -- Improves time management:  Working with someone who can help guide you with making the best choices for managing your time more efficiently is one of the best skills you can develop.  You are more likely to set realistic and attainable goals if you learn to manage your time.  This also includes work-life balance and making time for self-care. 


#5 -- Boosts self-confidence:  When we have someone asking us thought provoking questions it reminds us that we each have the ability to tap into our innate inner-knowing for our answers.  This is an empowering process that builds self-confidence.  It also encourages a healthy relationship with yourself and others.


#6 -- Improve your health:  Having a coach is an integral part in the process of self-improvement.  Whether it’s mental, physical, spiritual, social, or emotional, some or all of them, a life coach can assist you with creating and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. 


#7 -- Reduces stress and anxiety:  Everyone has stress and anxiety but having someone brainstorm with you as to which tools and strategies work best for you is an effective way to navigate obstacles and challenges in your life.


#8 -- Overcoming fears and limiting beliefs:  Fears and limiting beliefs can hold us back and keep us from living a fulfilling life. Oftentimes, they are so ingrained in us that they are difficult to overcome without guidance. Yet it is possible, and a good life coach is able to help you to recognize where these destructive and debilitating patterns came from and how to release them in order to live a satisfying life.
